How we handle your information

What we collect

• What you send us: your email address, the quotes, photos, voice memos, or other files you upload or email, and anything you write about your project.
• What you choose to add: name, phone, project location (city, state, ZIP), project type and stage, and quote details.
• Payment: Stripe handles checkout. We never see your full card number; Stripe tells us the payment went through and the reference it belongs to.

Why we use it

These are separate purposes, and the third one only happens if you say yes:

1. To prepare your scan or report and to reply to you — including follow-up questions about your quote.
2. To run the service — matching your payment to your submission, and keeping a record of what we delivered.
3. Optional: to improve our cost data. Only if you tick the box on the form, we may add de-identified numbers from your project — no name, no address — to the data we use for future reviews. It's off unless you choose it.

Who processes it

We use a small number of services to run myGC. Your information passes through them for the purposes above:

• Google Workspace — stores your submission (Google Sheets), your files (Google Drive), and our email (Gmail).
• Cloudflare — hosts this website and forwards email sent to quotes@trymygc.com.
• Stripe — processes payments.
• Anthropic — when we run an automated scan, your files are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI model to produce it.
• Google Analytics — measures site usage, as described below. It never receives your files or contact details.

Your reviewer at myGC reads your files to prepare your report. We don't share your files with the contractor you're asking about, and we don't sell your information.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site — which pages they visit and which steps of our forms they reach — so we can see where it's confusing. It sets cookies and receives standard browser information such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate location.

What we send it about your choices is limited to things like the project type and stage you pick, which service you choose, and how many files you attach. We never send your name, email, notes, or files to Google Analytics. We don't use advertising cookies.

You can block analytics with your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on; the site works the same without it.

The site also stores a few small things in your own browser for the current visit — your project picks and an unfinished checkout — so you don't have to re-enter them. Those never leave your device.

How long we keep it

We keep your submission and files until you ask us to delete them. Stripe keeps its own payment records as payment rules require.

Deleting your information

Email quotes@trymygc.com from the address you used and ask us to delete your submission. We'll remove it from our spreadsheet, file storage, and mailbox, and confirm by email.
